Exciting news is buzzing from Washington Court House as Faith Morrison has landed a coveted spot on the Fall 2024 Dean’s List at the prestigious University of Kentucky’s College of Arts and Sciences. This accomplishment serves as a noteworthy recognition for her dedication and commitment to her education, and it’s a perfect demonstration of her hard work paying off.
Not only has Faith achieved this impressive accolade, but she was also highlighted amongst over 190 graduates during the commencement ceremonies held in December 2024. What an incredible year she’s had! Her determination and perseverance undoubtedly set her apart, and being honored in such an impressive manner speaks volumes about her character and academic prowess.
Across the campus, it has been a record-breaking semester for the University of Kentucky. More than 2,000 undergraduate students found themselves recognized on the Dean’s List for this fall alone. That’s quite an achievement! The University has been buzzing with activity and talent, making this announcement all the more thrilling for the university community.
So, what does it take to be named to the Dean’s List? Students must complete at least 12 credit hours with letter grades and maintain a minimum GPA of 3.6 for the semester. The College of Arts and Sciences works diligently to foster excellence in student learning, research, and of course, making a positive impact in the community. It’s evident that the institution prioritizes not just academic achievement, but personal growth as well.
Interestingly, while most colleges within the university require a minimum GPA of 3.6 to qualify for the Dean’s List, some will even accept students with a GPA of 3.5. This means that there’s room for a wide range of bright scholars to shine through.
This semester also saw the University of Kentucky achieving a new milestone with a total of 10,039 students making it onto the Dean’s List, shattering the previous record of 9,705 set back in Spring 2020. This surge in academic success not only reflects the hard work of the students but also the supportive environment nurtured by the university.
As we celebrate Faith Morrison’s success, let’s also remember that every bright achievement contributes to a larger community of learners striving for excellence. This sense of triumph not only lights up the lives of individuals but also inspires those around them to reach for the stars. Kudos to Faith and all her fellow scholars at the University of Kentucky for their impressive achievements!
