This past weekend, the spirit of community and support lit up the University of Kentucky’s campus in Lexington during the 20th annual DanceBlue marathon! The clock ticked past 8 PM on Saturday, and over 600 enthusiastic UK students took to the dance floor for an incredible 24-hour celebration dedicated to a cause that’s truly close to the heart: raising funds for the Kentucky Children’s Hospital Hematology/Oncology Clinic.
This year’s event alone raised an astounding $2.3 million, bringing the grand total raised since DanceBlue started back in 2006 to over $25 million. Can you believe it? That’s a breathtaking number that speaks volumes about the dedication and passion of not just the students, but the entire community! Participants spent the school year fundraising their way to the dance marathon, earning their chance to join their fellow dancers on the floor.
