This amount marks a record-breaking total for the charity event, held from Saturday at 8 p.m. to Sunday at 6 p.m. The funds will benefit the Kentucky Children’s Hospital Hematology/Oncology Clinic, continuing the longstanding tradition of support since DanceBlue’s inception in 2006, which has raised over $23 million to date.

This year’s dance marathon took place at the Historic Memorial Coliseum for the first time since 2023, highlighting the event’s return to a traditional venue. Dancers, who have trained year-round to earn their spots, participated by standing and dancing continuously for the full 24 hours, adhering to the rule of no sitting or sleeping. Hundreds of students took part in the event, engaging in line dances and various activities throughout the marathon.

The funds raised by DanceBlue directly support the last wish of clinic patient Jarrett Mynear, encouraging others to rally behind the clinic.
