The collision involved a Kia with four occupants and a Dodge Ram truck. Emergency responders transported all those in the Kia to a nearby hospital following the crash. Unfortunately, the Fayette County Coroner’s Office later identified the deceased as Brian Huddle, who succumbed to multiple blunt force injuries and was pronounced dead at 6:21 p.m. The coroner classified his death as an accident.
The other three individuals in the Kia, including two minors and one adult, reportedly sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the truck was unharmed in the incident. As of Thursday morning, additional details regarding the circumstances surrounding the crash remain scarce.
Law enforcement officials briefly closed the road on Wednesday evening to investigate the accident but have since reopened it to traffic.
