Tragic Car Accident in Lexington Claims One Life, Injures Three Others

Lexington – A tragic car accident on Wednesday evening claimed the life of a 39-year-old man and injured three others, including two juveniles. The incident occurred around 5:38 p.m. at the intersection of Georgetown Road and Capstone Drive, as confirmed by the Lexington Police Department.

The collision involved a Kia with four occupants and a Dodge Ram truck. Emergency responders transported all those in the Kia to a nearby hospital following the crash. Unfortunately, the Fayette County Coroner’s Office later identified the deceased as Brian Huddle, who succumbed to multiple blunt force injuries and was pronounced dead at 6:21 p.m. The coroner classified his death as an accident.

The other three individuals in the Kia, including two minors and one adult, reportedly sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the truck was unharmed in the incident. As of Thursday morning, additional details regarding the circumstances surrounding the crash remain scarce.

Law enforcement officials briefly closed the road on Wednesday evening to investigate the accident but have since reopened it to traffic.

This fatal incident highlights ongoing concerns about road safety in the area and reinforces the importance of cautious driving. Further updates from the police department may provide more insights as the investigation continues.

As the community mourns the loss of Huddle, support and prayers are extended to the victims and their families during this difficult time.
