Countdown to 2024 BroadwayWorld Regional Awards: Vote for Your Favorite Talent and Productions Now Through December 31

Louisville, Kentucky – The countdown is on for the 2024 BroadwayWorld Regional Awards, honoring exceptional talent and productions across more than 100 cities worldwide. Fans can cast their votes for their favorite shows, stars, and theaters through December 31, 2024, with winners scheduled to be announced in January.

This annual event celebrates performances that debuted between October 1, 2023, and September 30, 2024. Categories include Best Choreography, Best Costume Design, and Best Direction, among others, recognizing the contributions of regional theaters, touring performances, and innovative productions.

The awards cover a vast array of cities across the United States, Canada, Central and South America, Europe, and Asia, making it a global affair. “The 2024 awards are a culmination of local and international talent, bringing to light the hard work and creativity of artists,” said a spokesperson.

Nominees for major categories reflect a diverse selection, ranging from well-known classics like Kinky Boots and Godspell to innovative pieces such as A Midsummer Night’s Dream: A Queer Tale and Yeti For Love, set to debut this month. The latter explores themes of love and connection through the character of Yeticus Brown, aiming to find joy and companionship during the holiday season.

The BroadwayWorld Regional Awards encourage community involvement from theatergoers who believe in supporting local talent. Voting platforms remain open until midnight on December 31, affording an opportunity for fans to ensure their favorites receive the recognition they deserve.

Among the anticipated highlights, Kentucky Performing Arts will host a Winter Gathering With Kathy Mattea on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at the Bomhard Theater. This event aims to unite fans and celebrate musical artistry ahead of the awards’ final voting round.

As the deadline approaches, theater enthusiasts across the globe are urged to engage and honor the creativity that fuels the performing arts in their communities.
