Scott County, Ky. – A death investigation is currently underway following the discovery of a man’s body outside a vehicle in Scott County. According to the sheriff’s office, deputies responded Friday morning to reports of a vehicle off the roadway on Lisle Road, which appeared to have been involved in a crash.
Upon arrival at the scene, deputies found the deceased man, whose identity has not yet been released. Authorities believe the incident may be connected to an overnight robbery complaint that occurred in Fayette County.
Earlier that day, Lexington police were dispatched to Kearney Ridge Boulevard just before 2 a.m. after a man reported being robbed at gunpoint on Georgetown Road. At this time, police have not disclosed any information regarding potential suspects related to that robbery.
The details surrounding both incidents remain scarce as investigators continue their work. The connection between the crash in Scott County and the robbery in Fayette County is still being explored.
Local authorities have stated that the investigation is ongoing, and they are asking anyone with additional information to come forward to assist in resolving these cases.
This is a developing story, and updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
