Lexington – The Fayette County Coroner has identified the body discovered in a shallow pond off Tates Creek Road as belonging to 64-year-old Ricky Williams. The remains were found on Sunday afternoon, and authorities confirmed his identity on Monday.
The Lexington Police Department was alerted to the situation around 3:40 p.m. on the 3000 block of Walden Drive. Following the discovery, the Lexington Fire Department was dispatched at approximately 4:36 p.m. to assist in recovering the body, which was subsequently transported to the Fayette County Coroner’s Office.
As of now, no cause of death has been released. The police department has stated that a death investigation is currently underway. Individuals with any pertinent information are encouraged to contact the Lexington Police Department at 859-258-3600.
