Richmond, Kentucky will soon welcome a new addition to its dining scene as a Dunkin’ Donuts location is set to open at 2890 Richmond Road in mid-December 2023. This announcement comes from Gary Holland, representing One Holland, the company overseeing the development.
The Dunkin’ Donuts restaurant will occupy the former site of LaRosa’s Family Pizzeria, which closed its doors in July 2023 after four years of operation. Positioned between One Holland’s First Watch and Skyline Chili, this new coffee shop will feature both a drive-thru service and indoor seating for customers.
This upcoming establishment will join a competitive coffee landscape on Richmond Road. The area previously saw the closure of The Common Grounds Coffee House, which shut down in November 2023. However, several notable coffee providers still operate in the vicinity, including:
- The Human Bean drive-thru kiosk at 2644 Richmond Rd., known for specialty coffees and real-fruit smoothies.
- 7 Brew drive-thru kiosk located at 2895 Richmond Rd.
- Panera Bread at 2887 Richmond Rd. Suite 110, which also includes a drive-thru option.
- Krispy Kreme at 2893 Richmond Rd., offering fresh doughnuts daily.
- Starbucks at 2703 Richmond Rd., near the intersection with Old Todds Road.
As Dunkin’ Donuts prepares to make its debut, the city anticipates increased foot traffic and new opportunities for coffee enthusiasts in the area. The establishment aims to provide an array of coffee and baked goods, contributing to Richmond’s vibrant dining atmosphere.
