Lexington Farmers Market to Move Indoors at Greyline Station This Winter

Lexington is set to welcome a new location for its farmers market this winter season. As part of an effort to continue providing fresh produce and local goods year-round, the Lexington Farmers Market will transition to a new indoor venue following the holiday season.

Starting in January, the market will be located in the atrium at Greyline Station, which previously housed the Julietta Market before its closure earlier in 2023. This change was approved by the market board and is part of plans to enhance shopping conditions during the coldest months of the year.

The market will operate every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. throughout January, February, and part of March. Shoppers can expect a variety of offerings, including seasonal produce, meats, cheeses, breads, and other local items. After the St. Patrick’s Day celebrations, the market will relocate back to its original venue at Tandy Park.

Moreover, the Lexington Farmers Market offers several other shopping options throughout the year. These include Sunday sales on Southland Drive from April to October, Wednesday evening sales on Alexandria Drive from June to September, and Tuesday and Thursday morning sales on National Avenue from May to November.

This move to Greyline Station is aimed at creating a welcoming and accessible environment for vendors and customers alike during the winter months. With this indoor transition, the Lexington Farmers Market continues its commitment to supporting local agriculture and providing the community with fresh, healthy food options.
