Drama Enfolds in Ohio County, Kentucky

The circus surrounding the disappearance of the eight-month-old toddler, Miya Tucker Rudd, in Ohio County, Kentucky, unfolds as the grandparents now face charges along with the parents. The search for the missing child persists.

Kentucky State Police Take Action

An investigation was launched by Kentucky State Police into the toddler’s whereabouts after the report of her disappearance. The report came following a welfare check at a residence in Reynolds Station, where the child was last seen.

During the child’s search, the officers found an existing warrant for assault and domestic violence against the child’s grandmother, 49-year-old Billie Smith. The troopers took Smith into custody at her residence. At the same time, the baby’s grandfather, 56-year-old Ricky Smith, was apprehended last week on an array of charges, including child abuse, abandonment, organized crime, and drug trafficking.

The infant’s parents, 29-year-old Tesla Tucker and 30-year-old Cage Rudd, were detained Thursday on similar charges. Court documents reveal that Ricky Smith, Tucker, and Rudd are due for arraignment Monday morning.

New Evidence and Additional Suspect

Intriguing the matter further, a fifth suspect, 37-year-old Timothy Roach, was also taken into custody on drug charges Sunday night near the Smiths’ residence. As officers neared, Roach was seen allegedly discarding drugs under his car in the Smiths’ driveway.

With the court proceedings involving the family members ongoing, the brave men and women of the authorities are tirelessly working in hopes of locating and securing the safe return of the Miya Tucker Rudd. As the investigation continues, the community is anxiously awaiting more news about this tragic case.
