Following this, several prominent exhibits will open, including the Yvonne Todd & Marilyn Sadler Exhibit and the Members’ Equine Exhibit, both set to run from September 5 to November 2.
Art enthusiasts will also have the opportunity to visit the Frank Culberson & Friends Exhibit, which will be available from November 8 until December 26. Additionally, the Headley-Whitney Museum will host a unique exhibit titled “Dogs and Cats,” featuring works by renowned artist Jamie Wyeth alongside notable Kentucky artists, and imaginative dog houses. This exhibit will be on display from September 20 to November 24.

Photography lovers can enjoy Case Mahan’s works in the exhibit “In The Round,” available until September 14, while Richard McCabe’s “Perdido” will be featured from November 8 to December 20. Later in the season, Kole Nichols will explore themes of physical, spiritual, and emotional spaces from January 10 to February 22, 2025, and María Korol’s exhibit focusing on storytelling through drawing and painting will follow from February 28 to April 12, 2025.
The Lexington Art League will also contribute to the visual arts scene with a retrospective titled “HOMECOMING” through September 27 and PRHBTN 13 from October 11 to November 22. Various exhibitions are being organized at the Lexington Public Library, including the Craig Kaviar Retrospective: Metalwork from September 20 to November 10 and the Kentucky Heritage Quilt Society exhibit from November 15 to January 12, 2025.
Further enriching the visual arts landscape, the Living Arts & Science Center will display “Raise Your Appliance Well” through September 13, and will host “Welcoming Week” from September 6 to October 11. On September 22, the Southern Kentucky Performing Arts Center will hold an event for the Euphoria Quilt, focusing on themes of gender-expansive joy.
