The Kentucky State Police (KSP) invigorated the Lexington community with their electrifying 2nd Annual KSP Classics, Customs and Cruisers Car Show on Saturday, housed in the sprawling environs of Kentucky Horse Park.
The car show is a meticulous platform engineered by the Kentucky State Police to support the distinguished KY Trooper Outreach Program. The program breathes life into KSP’s vision for a more involved community engagement through empowering activities and programs.
The car show was a grand spectacle featuring hundreds of dynamic, radiant automobiles on display. Patrons at the event enjoyed the opportunity to interact with the car owners, soak up the rhythms of melodious music, visit vendors, and particularly, make the acquaintance of the KSP’s brand-new mascot named Justice.
A special partnership was in evidence between KSP and Raising Cane’s that led to a generous gift basket giveaway. The attendees stood a chance to win fascinating goodies like gift cards, a plush dog, a cooler, a hat, a koozie – all integrated diligently into the captivating gift basket.
Sergeant Matt Sudduth reflected on the significance of an event like the car show. He noted, “It shows how much support we actually do have from the communities that we serve. You know, I was talking about sometimes it’s not always a positive outlook on law enforcement but look at we’ve got going on here today. This kind of shows that we do have community support.”
The Sergeant’s sentiment echoed the prevalent spirit of community support and a shared passion for law-enforcement. His words effectively testified to the importance of such events in strengthening the bond between the Police and local community, as well as highlighting the essential role communities play in supporting law enforcement.
Those who were unable to attend the stirring car show need not fret. The KSP Classics, Customs and Cruisers Car Show promised to be back bigger and more vibrant next year, carrying forward its mission of community engagement and showcasing an even more diverse array of classic and custom automobiles.
In dense anticipation for the annual event’s return, enthusiasts of Lexington and beyond can look forward to another thrilling day filled with radiant classic cars, friendly interactions, and cherished community spirit.
